Load sample from Sd to waveplayer crashes

loaded sample to waveplayer from SD card but name stays grey .... cant play... by the way where can i found amonbreak?
wich samplerate works?

"Attributes" are a kind of parameter that can only be edited when the patch is not "live", so they're greyed out when live.
The Amen Break sample I used for the "amon is broke" demo can be found on freesound.org :

resampled to 48kHz, converted to stereo 16bit raw format.

I loaded amenbr.wav to SD and amon patch still no sound ,after turning some controls crashes :
Control transfer failed: -9
Ping: WaitSync Timeout, disconnecting now
Disconnect request
Control transfer failed: -1

Sorry, I haven't verified that patch recently, it's possibly broken.
One thing, could you verify that the file is seen by Axoloti in window menu->file manager?

Ive just tested, and it does work still

download the file, use audacity (or similar) export as RAW (with wav extension) 48000khz, 16 bit PCM
then when using the patch, you need to trigger the segments with the 8v radio buttons with labels next to them
(that confused me for abit)

As plain 16bit/48kHz wave format it will work too, as the header is only a brief click at the start of the file when played as raw format.

Generally, file playback (and other file manipulations) certainly need better error reporting.
I raised issue https://github.com/axoloti/axoloti/issues/219 for this.

Thank you very much its running now ! I can change samples now ! After playing with amon a broke a while i decided to put a switch/mux to not trigger the Presets always because it was hindering editing the sequences.amon is broke p.axp (16.4 KB)

i have downloaded the amen break from freesound, opened on audacity, then export as other uncompressed format, RAW, here what codec i have to use?

the file can be organized into folders?

he spaceman....just export as normal 48/khz 16bit pcm worked for me SD format is FAT.

Tried to use samples from SD card. If I use more than two files at the same time, Axoloti reboots.
Configuration on this screenshot also crashes

I had this problem quite a lot.
Don't know what causes it, but it seems that the Axoloti host seems to does good with disconnecting/reconnecting when it happens.
If that doesn't work, power cycle then do the above procedure.
Be sure to not just unplug the USB cable while in Live mode and/or having the Axo host connected, that seems to cause trouble for me.

When the axoloti crashes , on reconnect do you get anything in the console? (Soft watch)
I assume the patch does not play?
What errors do you get in console?
I assume this runs ok with 1 file? What cpu does it have?

Disconnecting axoloti while live should be fine, it just disconnects the UI and patch should continue to play.
( I do it here with multiple boards frequently)

Note: there is no functionally to reconnect the UI to a running patch (yet?) ... So plugging USB back in will not reconnect UI
