just a heads up, that Im doing some testing with El Capitan (10.11) , it does appear some things might have changed (e.g. it looks like java is not installed by default anymore), I will update the install guide for OSX, once I've determine any changes required.
please post here if you notice any issue particular to 10.11 do NOT report any issues here which exist (or may exist) in other versions of OS X.
I had the same error. I get it working by deleting axoloti app and the axoloti library files. I used the Appcleaner app. After deleting everything, I reinstall everything and it works fine.
If anyone sees this again, can you please attempt to run Axoloti from the 'terminal'... and see if any errors are shown in the terminal window.
Ive made a change that will be release soon, that hopefully will mean instead of the app kind of not starting (by which I think most mean the console window doesnt open, and menus are not present) , the console should appear, and so errors may show up there.... hopefully then we can track it down. the current working assumption is, that its caused by a 'corrupt' preferences file. but with no detailed reports its hard to say for sure.
@thetechnobear Ok, I tried to check some Patcher position on my screen. I haven't any UI issues with axoloti (1.0.7), MB 15" retina and 10.11.
But If my cursor is near at screen edge and I open the object window, it will be out of the screen dimension …but this is since the first editor version.
