Building an instrument

Hi there!
i decide that now it's time for making my first instrument.
i wanna make simple loop player, which will controlled by handmade midi controller, like Arcade.
Maybe someone did it? is it possible? Can it be problem with connection between Axoloti and handmade controller?

It is possible. I'm using a looper patch with my MIDI controller.

This thread should get you started, just replace the ctrl/toggle objects with a midi/in/keyb note object to use it with your MIDI controller.

Example patch: a simple stereo Looper with overdub

Here is a patch for a stereo looper with overdub capability. You can also use it like a tap-tempo delay if you leave the overdub switched on & manipulate the mixer knobs to control feedback level. Obviously there is a lot more that can be added here - I have already been experimenting with "Play" and "Half-speed" buttons - but it's a good start. Ive moved this to its own topic, as the USB Midi Controllers topic is solely for reporting controllers that work with axoloti.(and its big topic, just for that) , so this deserves its own topic.

what you want is definitely possible, many have built instruments with controllers... and a few examples of looping patches out there...

Im sure someone will be along soon to point you in the right direction

i found ready-made solution for my project - it's WAV Trigger https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13660
But anyway i really like Axoloti and i will try to make something more with it.
