Will axoloti do this?

#1

Hi. I dont have an Axoloti, but i have a project that i would like to use it for.
I have sampled an old organ. I have sampled all the white keys, and all the different soundbanks it has.

Many of the samples have a fast attack and then an even sustain/decay. The actual looping would be of the tail of the sound.

Will i be able to create custom loop start/loop end points for each sample? Or should the loop points already be embedded in the sample via 3rd party software?

Thanks

Loop points are not a thing implemented in axoloti language, you'll have to load raw wave files and manipulate them as a generic source of data, with tables.

However i think you should give it a try. You can do some really crazy stuff with axoloti, and this is a great thing for its cost

Emulating a sampler with splits, velocity layers and loops is not a strength of Axoloti. It can do most of the essential elements but it does not integrate the workflow like a sampler.

Hmm...Sounds like it might not be for this project then.
I actually dont need velocity layers.
I need to be able to assign certain keys (on a keyboard) to certain samples. As i wrote earlier i only have the white keys, but would gladly re pitch those samples in 3rd party software to get the black keys as well.
Loop points is essential though. If there is no way to define loop points per sample, then its a no go for me.
Is there no easy wa to do this?

Any news on this? I have been out of the loop (muahahaha punny) for a while, did anyone make an object in the meantime?
What i need is a basic sampler, like this:
-play different sample per key. A "nice to have" would be to be able to assign one sample to multiple keys.
-Must be able to loop the samples.
- A really "nice to have" would be to be able to adjust loop points on the sample.

Thanks:)

Hey @the19thbear

There is an object with loop points but it is currently not working. But I know a user called SirSickSik takes object requests. Check this thread:

Thanks. I'll talk to him:)

check out rbrt's contributions, he has an object called loop mangle that does almost what you want considering loop points etc. the keyboard mapping stuff you can patch yourself
