Headphone out? Line out?
What connections are involved between Axoloti, PC and octatrack?
When i only use one side of the stereo jack it is fine when connecting stereo its starts to crackle..
Doesnt matter wich side is mono
Mine does it sometimes too. Some cables I have gives a little bit of crackling and some dont. I guess it might be that some male jacks doesnt connect properly when instered into Axoloto female jacks.
Are you using one of those small mini jack to "normal" jack gold converters? If so did you try and disconnect and reconnect the mini jack into the gold converter. maybe wiggle it a bit..
ahh but this is not just a little i cant hear the original sound for crackles...
Its only when i connect it thru the inputs on the octatrack and only when both jacks are plugged in
when connected to the soundcard it sounds normal
only reason might be that it creates some wierd "feedback" loop thing or i dunno....
But i will manage to work around
The jack sockets on Axoloti are genuine Neutrik parts, the mini-jack is a genuine Switchcraft part. No corners cut there.
Oh, Wasn't saying Axolotis jacks was the issue. I was saying it might be the golden converter from mini jack to jack
Hey Kalle
Did you find an solution to the problem regarding the connection between your OT and Axoloti?
If not, would you like to go thru your setup/connections a bit more in detail. And we´ll see if we are able to help you pin point the issue?
My first initial thoughts were that you are getting some kind of groundloop connection. However, I´m able to do similar tests with my Octatrack and Axoloti, to see if I get any similar issues as you are.
You could think of me as an unofficial Elektron support in this forum, since I´m working at Elektron (I´ll try my best to answer any questions).
