Wave folder object

#1

Could someone point me to the best option for a wave folding object?

type "wavefolder" or folder in the browser and check the option that suits you best. greetings.

Hi @Cannonball and @servandisco

You can also have a look on my tiar/dist/fold object
(I called it "fold" instead of "wavefolder" so that the object does not get too big on the screen...).

See the help file in
help -> community -> tiar -> dist -> fold
to see how it work.

This wavefolder uses first order differentiation to limit aliasing.

HEj @SmashedTransistors !

yeah!. I trired almost all your objects. They sound really really good..

One of the things I have in mind it's to make a "pseudoclone" of the 0-coast synth from Makenoise. Do you know about an object or procedure to be able to morph between logarithmic and exponential curves in the envelopes? that was making a huge difference in the sound.. also for the even/ odd overtone section I still have no clue about how to go.

greetings
S

Maybe you can put the output of the envelope through a math function that can change dramatically the curve. Maybe @Sputnki math/knee functions can be used for such a purpose ?

Hahaha, great minds think alike. Came here just to ask the same questions. Let me know about what you managed to come up with!
