Using a multiplexer IC to extend number of physical controls with an Axoloti?

Hi, I'm new.

I don't have a Axo board yet but I'd like to create box for an Axoloti with reassignable knobs, sliders and buttons which I can assign through the patcher. (It would be used to flexibly extend my desktop hardware-based setup as a sampler/audio fx/additional synth/drum machine).

Right now, I'm developing some small controller modules to test with my Arduino Uno and making use of one or two multiplexers to increase number controls available without using up all the pins.

Can the patcher be made to play nicely with incoming multiplexer data? Has anyone tried in the past?

hi, s0…s2 & z are the pins of your 4051 IC. This are the variable names I took out of the datasheet. To get it working, you have to connect the s0 pin to PA0 pin axoloti etc. this correct pin connection is described as a comment in the patch above the script object. I will update my breadboard picture with the axoloti pins to make it clear. You can hook up the s0…2 pin of your 4051 IC to every axoloti pin which can be defined as an output.
