USB Midi Keyboard M-Audio Oxygen 8v2

Hi everyone!
I'm very new in this community, and just started to use and experience my Axoloti.
I'm french, musician but a beginner in this kind of stuff. I just know a little about synth and midi (basics).
So, here is my problem:
I have a M-Audio Oxygen 8v2, and i tried to connect it to my Axoloti via USB port. So, it did not work at all. I played on all the keys, but nothing. As this keyboard has also midi ports, i tried to connect with midi, and it worked! But, i need this port for my BCR 2000.
I did a factory reset on my Oxygen, tried an other time with USB, and it worked!
Some hours later, i tried again and same at the beginning, it did not work with usb, only with midi.
I did an other factory reset on the keyboard, and nothing changed.
If someone could help me, it would be great!
By advance, Thank you.

(Ps: sorry, my english may not be so good)

so sometimes its working, and other times not?
odd... they usually work, or dont.

if it worked after a reset, Id suggest perhaps its being put in some kind of 'mode' ...
can you post the console from axoloti, from
(a) when it works
(b) when it doesnt

(you should see some lines that detail the usb device as its its loaded)

also , try the obvious, like a different USB cables, perhaps the one your using has an intermittent fault.
... are you using this keyboard regularly with a computer, without issue?

Hi,

First, thank you for your answer!
Here's the console (when it doesn't work):

For information, I tried with another USB keyboard (some weeks ago) and it worked.
As you said, maybe there is a 'mode'...
And yes, I tried with 3 differents USB cables.
But, this is kind of strange that it works with a midi cable! Maybe I'm wrong, but it's the same protocole, isn't it?
Oh, yes another thing: when I plug the keyboard with Midi, i have to use a power supply for the keyboard, which i don't need with USB.

Thank you again,

MarukoSanSan

log, I need you to have Axoloti powered up, and then plug in the usb cable for the midi controller...
I need to see the messages when it connects

also try another patch, I don't like that midichannel error, and I don't want this to confuse us.

no it is very different.

you should, for testing purposes, use the power supply when using USB as well.
(this is to eliminate the possibility, that USB is not supply enough power, something we do see quite often)

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply...
So, I don't know why but i tried today for the first time since your answer, and it worked!
So, here's the console after i plug the midi keyboard:

But I tried other times and when i pluged it, nothing:

But the keyboard powered up! So, it's very strange... And it works very well with my computer and other apps.
As soon as possible, i will try with an other keyboard and see if i have the same issue.
Maybe it could help: i find the USB host on the board, a little bit tight, and it's not so easy to plug it off.

Thank you again for your answer.

The log where it doesn't work, looks like it's not connected at all - rather than not recognized.
... I'd say bad connection/cable is most likely.
