as a follow up, i got my gakken today! funny little device. here you can find a webapp (chrome only) to upload a more feature full firmware config, that lets you disable the reverb for example:

https://webgk.gakken.jp/otonanokagaku/nsx39/appli/00/

on my device the headphone is quite clean (apart from a bit of white noise) there is no hum or anything. maybe a tiny weeny bit of digital noise, but really ok. disabling the reverb makes it a lot cleaner too, since that added some artefacts when decaying...

#233

Wow thank you for the link.
I guess that google translate is our friend here !

#234

again, if you use chrome you can translate the site as is, worked fine for me

#235

and i am happily sending SysEx from puredata to the nsx-39 to control the xg synth parameters

Nektar Panorama T6

Works, but needs enough power or will be intermittent.

With usb power from pc only had problems.
With psu direct to ax works perfectly.

#237

Launchkey Mini: Works for a short while but then drops dead.
Akai APC Mini seems to work fine for me, no dropouts so far.

#238

NI Komplete Audio 6: works as MIDI interface.

#239

Akai FIRE works well!

You need Sysex to control leds of the pads.(cc and notes for the rest)
Sysex strings for the screen are too long to be handled. I'm going to see if it works when splitting the strings.

I'm building my own drum machine with it but I already reached the limit of Ram half of the way. Don't know if I'll reach my goal.

#240

You might want to try an Akso. More RAM, faster a CPU.

#241

You know what? I ordered one an hour before you posted your message!

#242

Roland MC-707: works since OS 1.60, with USB driver set to „generic“.
(did not work with earlier OS versions)

IK Uno Synth (MIDI interface mode): recognized but disconnects immediately –> does NOT work

Novation Circuit: works
Novation Circuit Mono Station: works

#243

Adafruit Neotrellis M4 successfully sends MIDI via USB

#244

Any progress on this? The Akai Fire seems like it would make a great piece. Maybe the Zrna Akso would have enough overhead to run a sequencer and some synths or samplers.
Good luck.

#245

I'm still waiting for the Akso.
With the Axoloti, I built a 4 tracks sequencer with several independent parameters for each tracks (Rate, Steps, Groove...)
I would like to push it to 8 tracks and 64 steps max with the Akso.

#246

You should be able to do more than that, even on the old axo

But yeah guess it depends on how you build it

#247

Miditech Midilink-mini: works.

#248

For some reasons, I'm reaching SRAM limit pretty quickly.

#249

Making sequencers based on tables and using some midi controller I think will get one furthest.

But I don't know your approach, how you did it

Anyway, when you get an Akso it will not be a problem I guess

#250

I'm not sure my approach is good actually. Maybe I can share the patch and you'll tell me?

#251

Create a new topic and post your patch there, so we don't "pollute" this topic too much
