I'm trying to control my patch with Korg nanoKONTROL2.
The "phi/midi/in/cc any disp" shows CCs just fine, but mapping the CCs to a DIAL on an OBJECT --> no reaction.
I guess the midi-assign-function only works with DIN-MIDI-IN & not with USB-MIDI-IN?
But how do you go on mapping to the DIALS then?
Thanks!

No problem here with NK1. Did you try midi/in/monitor and see what happens in the status window ?
I saw and like what you've done to your KeyStep Ott ... I just picked up the KeyStep Black model today and having some fun with it. Would you be able to tell me if there is any room for pots on the top right face (between Play button and the Arturia logo)? The I/O jacks are all in that area at the back of the unit so I am guessing there is little room / if any?
Yeah you can totally fit pots there, the reason I didn't is because I carry this thing around in my backpack a lot with my laptop and don't want them being broken. You'll have to unscrew the board that has all the connections, though.
I experienced erratic behavior with the Novation LaunchControl.
Knob 5 and 6 are influencing each other , and this is only with the axo.
It works fine with ableton.
anyone?
Have you tried using the midi monitor object to see what messages are coming out of the launch control? If that looks fine I guess it must be something in the patch. Does it happen in multiple patches? I haven't come across this issue with my midi stuff
Faderfox DJ3 works. Took me nearly two full days of head scratching working out how the endless rotaries and various shift functions would work best with Axoloti but I know have 4 Factotums running together (a kind of experimental version of Traktor which the hardware is designed for.)
Squarp Pyramid works as a device from what I can tell. Sends midi clock, CCs, notes. No issues so far!
Just got my axoloti today tried it with both my Novation Circuit and Korg microKEY Air (over usb) and both worked fine.
The eVocaloid singing stylophone "pocket Miku Gakken NSX-39"
is MIDI compatible with the Axoloti
- as a control device the stylophone sends notes on/off along with pitch bends
- as a little polyphonic GM synth
The stylophone of the NSX39 sends gate with noteOn/Off and continuous pitch bends.
Here is the trick to use it with the axoloti :
that looks very interesting. where did you get it from? did you try custom phrases? does it support english? and, did you know it has a GM soundmodul installed that you should be able to access from the axoloti via midi
Yes, the YMW820 chip that is inside this gadget is a complete GM synth, including effects !
I got it by amazon.com and received it two days ago.
As far as i understand, the custom phoneme/sentences need some MIDI sysex.
Note that the sound quality is not great, there is a permanent digital hum on the audio output and speaker (even when running on batteries without USB connected). Maybe it can be fixed by adding some capacitors and shielding... i will give it a try.
Evolition UC-33e — working.
(i see only UC-33 in this topic, which AFAIK is different hardware revision)
according to some sources on the net (sandsoftwaresound.net) it is caused by the audio jack being so close to the usb connector. (even if no usb plug is connected i ask myself?) when mine arrives i will try to solder some shielded wires to the point furthest away from the usb that still has a direct connection to the jack output and cutting that trace to see if it improves the situation
