Transpose external sequences

#1

Hello, I have a Digitakt and I want to use Axoloti as a midi utility unit connected to MIDI-USB.
The first utility is to transpose sequences of digitakt, ex. on track 8 I have a sequence written in midi. How can it be transposed?
I tried midi / in / keyb> midi / out / note but it does not work.

try this thread; https://sebiik.github.io/community.axoloti.com.backup/t/midi-transpose-patch-example/1328

I have a digitakt too but haven't tried it, let us know how you get on, make sure midi channels are same etc

I will try but I do not understand midi / in / keyboard has no output. sorry for my English.

this post contains a midi transpose patch and two objects (all by ricard that you'll need to put in your library),controlled by program change, I don't have time to check it just now, but download the patch and the objects, drag and drop the objects into ricards community contributions folder and run the patch, should work fine

Just had a closer look at the patch and can see your confusion, there is no midi out, perhaps this is a transpose for internal midi, @ricard is there any chance you can shed some light on this for @altdelay, I am away from my axoloti at the moment.

I may have a proper look at it later

This worked fine for me for a simple transpose-

Make sure you select the incoming midi channel from the top menu, outgoing channel/device is selected in the out object.

@altdelay, @reubenfinger: the transpose object (and thru object too for that matter) has a device parameter which specifies which device it operates on. In the example in the other thread, it is set to din, so it takes data from the MIDI IN DIN jack, processes (transposes) it, and send the result to the MIDI OUT DIN jack.

The midi/in/keyb object is just there to provide the drive for the red led, it's not actually used to read MIDI data for transposing.

Thanks, I understand but my PC is now far from my axo, there are only a few hours left to test the transposition.
Axoloti is great with digitakt. I would like to implement more midi operations to alter the sequences written in digitakt and give more movement to the melodies, something like Markov would be fine.

No option worked. I do not know what the problem is but it does not transpose with either of the two options. I want a transposition like that of the mother 32 but I do not get it.
