Hey,
I was using the table2 object with table/play pitch and noticed there's some lofi digital sound added to the sample.
You can hear it when you pitch the sample up and down with a dial and keep triggering the sample.
It's not in the sample itself.
Anything i can do about this?
It sounds like it's bit-crushed.
I tried different size's in the table2 object but there's no change.
Thanks
Table2 table/play pitch
do you have an interp object after the table/play? also, your samples should be recorded at a high enough sample rate that your lowest pitch is 48k effective rate and everything else is higher pitched (and thus higher rate). e.g. if you want to go as low as C3 with a C4 sample, the sample should be recorded at 96k so that the effective rate when played at C3 is 48k.
Hey,
No i haven't got an interp object after the table/play.
Why would i need that, what does it do?
The sample is 16bit 44.1KHz i think and i only go up 4 notes so i don't think sample rate is a problem.
Here's some pictures of my patch.
I have three buttons that go into a selfmade patch/patcher and inside the patcher the buttons trigger different constants that go out the integer output to the pitch.
This is the inside of the patch/patcher.
nvm on the interp bit I was thinking of table read, not table play, which has interpolated and non interpolated versions. Maybe your attack phase is too short? also have you tried having separate play objects for each pitch?
It seems like there was a problem with the audio conversion to .RAW.
I exported everything with uncompress , headerless , signed 16 bit .raw and that did not work apparently but now i first converted everything to 16 bit and mono and then exported the same way and it seems to work now.
Audacity is a strange program.
I can only export to .raw with " export multiple tracks"
If i do it with one track only i allways get a .aiff file.
Thanks for the help anyway watamacha.
