Might there be future capabilities to take a midi in and be able to remap it to sysex/NRPN etc midi out?
I was thinking of axoloti as a sort of bome midi translator to input a regular midi hardware controller translator for output to older synth sysex etc.
Or add knobs of my own to a little box.

I added sysex output to usb hosting firmware recently (its how I drive the ableton push LCD) ,
I guess I could add it to midi din/usb device.
(adding sysex input would need more work, and poses some questions)
NRPN/RPN are just CC messages so these can already be sent.
yes can easily be used as a sort of midi translator/router... I use it as such for my virus, as well as a sequencer 
sounds very promising so.
have to say I'm bowled over by this great project and the swiss army knife that is the axoloti!

I would like to send sysex output data in real time to control a Tx81z. Could be CV from the Axoloti itself or via knobs from a USB controller. Just wondering how feasible this is...
Good to know. Maybe something for the future. I was able to accomplish what I was looking for with the CTRLR plugin anyhow in the meantime. The Tx81z has a weak MIDI buffer and locks up easily so heavy modulation would probably be somewhat pointless anyway.
