Suddenly quiet?

#1

I haven’t seen any activity on this forum in days. Has everybody lost interest, or is the forum broken?

#2

Heatwave in the UK and a relaxed lockdown could explain this end....Lokki and Tiar were in discussions about pitch detection a few days back, but I think Tiar removed some comments/objects based on imminent github issues...though I do not want to try and speak for him....so slow yes but still life

#3

I'm just waiting for more Cores. I need to have a project to get me going, I guess

#4

I think in general in summer time, these kind of forums can be a bit more dead than usual

#5

I check the forum fairly regularly - It seems things come and go in waves...people (myself) get inspired, work on a patch/object/sound, post a bit about it and work on it, then leave for a bit to, I assume, enjoy their work for a while before getting inspired to start another project.

At least thats my workflow...currently in a "enjoy" phase myself

I think core availability also slows things down - hard to get new users/activity when they can't get an axo

#6

Sure, hope there will be more cores or new axoloties.
It is a somewhat complicated era for many people.

About pitch detection i removed my patches and posts simply because they were not yet finished/reliable.
As the forum is the only information source i didn't want these post to be misleading.

I hope I will have some time to get back to these in 6 month or so...

Not much to say. Still love my axo's.
I use one with a Sensel Morph as MPE synth.

I had a Plinky for a few days but sold it since AXO+Morph is more exciting.
Otherwise it is a great lillte box.

The plinky has definitely piqued my interest. I get it though, the Axoloti stands in as an ample (or superior) substitute to a lot of gear that's out there.

#9

Axoloti is too useful to lose interest.
however, since new Cores are not available for an uncertain while, i narrowed down my use of two that i have only for critical tasks, and not developing any new projects.

for instance, as arpeggiator and MIDI router for my smallest rig (Axo is behind the scenes — but it's there).

Quieter than usual indeed. In my personal case , not having the option to do gigs or even small jams till very recently , its a key point . Im always transforming my axo for the ongoing need and its part of its power and fun for me .
