Sd card sample index object?

#1

I have put a lot of samples on my Axoloti sd card, when I am patching and wanna use a wav sample from the sd card I do not always remember the sample names and what is on there.

Is there a object or a file/menu way in the patcher I can quickly see what's on the card? If you know what I am saying :smirk:

Window -> File Manager?

#3

menu Window->File Manager, press "refresh"?
(improved in upcoming release)

I can only see one .wav file in there and a lot of other stuff I do not understand, and don't have to :relaxed:

this is what I get.

This is on the disk

and this is what I get in axoloti file manager.

But this gets improved in the next version?
Ideal would be like the wave/flashplay object with it's drop down menu but do not know if this is possible to code.
It would be a good feature.

Till then I'll get around :smile:

Thanks for the fast replies!

Yes, improvements are on the way:
* long filename support
* showing directories, hiding hidden files in the file manager
* auto-uploading dependent files to sdcard

Drop-down menu with contents of the sdcard is not planned.
I think local files (not on the sdcard) are "authoritative", uploaded to sdcard when required. That helps when sharing patches.
