OK, as far as I can tell, the "Saturate Audio Output" has no effect in Polyphonic mode. The signals coming from each voice are just summed, in both cases.
I'd love to be wrong, that would mean I would come closer to understand this option, so thanks for any pointer in the right direction!
Saturate is only used on the top level patch, not subpatches. (we use the same dialog for main patch and subpatches)
generally within axoloti the audio processing the audio signal is done at 28 bits. this is then 'saturated' at the root level to 32 bits. normally this is fine, unless you are already saturating your signal due to your patching/processing.
Thanks for the clarification, that makes sense. I'll try to understand which of the settings make sense to only the top level patch, and which ones work for subpatches (depending on the mode).
