Radiohead-esque Glitch Patch?

#1

Hi folks,
I got turned onto the Axoloti by an instructor who taught me some basics on Max/MSP. The main reason I wanted to use Max was to create a random glitch/stutter patch for guitar, similar to what Johnny Greenwood uses on the record "Hail To The Thief" and live on songs like "Airbag" and "Feral". Essentially the Max patch takes a buffered part of an incoming signal and plays it back at random short speeds, triggered by a volume threshold or just randomly. Would it be possible to recreate this on the Axoloti? I just don't know the programming capabilities on it well enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated, very excited to start using the Axoloti interface (I'm hoping to buy one regardless of if this particular patch works).

This one works with an audio sample. But a similar patch for live guitar should be possible to build.

Hi. Maybe not a 100% match to what you like, but I just uploaded a granulizer patch of mine to the community library: grain-mill. It takes audio from the axo's input port.

Actually your post reminded me of sharing this in the community library. So, thank you

You'll need, of course, the latest version 1.0.10 of the Axoloti software to access it.

This is probably pretty close to what I'd want to use, just gotta do some different patching to call for the input signal. Thanks so much dude!

I'll definitely check that out! Might not be exactly what I'm looking for, but that doesn't mean it's not something I'd use

Just now stumbled upon this thread. Any luck getting this to work with live input?
