hi,
i made a patch with a bunch of play fn objects. when i want to upload the samples i noticed that only the short samples get transferred, not the ones which are larger than say 5 MB. it just skips those.
is this a known problem?

ah,
i didn't see the error message popping up. yes, some of my files are larger than 8 mb. is there anything i could do to get them uploaded nonetheless?
cheers,

also,
i wonder if it could be implemented that when one starts uploading files through the filemanager the patch would go offline automatically rather than complaining that it can't get the state of the control elements (control transfer failed: -4).
i noticed when using the filemanager it can't upload a file larger than 20 MB. the counter then just goes to -99% -98%...
Big files loads fine most of the time here. I use the card reader mode to transfer files.
In >board>enter card reader mode
But I do also often get the "control transfer failed: -4" message. And in most of my patches with wave players, the board disconnects when making the patch unlive. So there might be something there.
i'm having quite a bit of new user hiccups, so to what extent the following comment is just that i do not know .. but when i decided to upload some sound files (various formats) it took minutes of very intermittent progress movement .. it seemed unusably slow, but i am finding my way - i couldn't quite fins anything to exploit those samples, so if anyone can suggest a basic object to look for .. the options when you enter stream in the browser don't indicate how you locate the sd card file or where the samples should be stored if you have to know in advance .. i'll look into that a bit more soon
but, is the long upload an issue or indicative of user error somehow .. what's the preferred way to upload larger files in any case ?
In >board>enter card reader mode
Drag and drop the samples to sd-card. Maybe first create a folder for them. I would advice you to buy the E-book i posted link for yesterday. As far as I remember there is an explanation on how to prepare samples, etc., whivh format to use, etc.
Start with table/play or wave/play.... In the E-book there is a short explaination how to use them. Good luck
that the axoloti doesn't transmit files larger than 8 MB is part of the axoloti programming. as jaffa suggested mounting the axoloti as a card reader works perfect actually. so thanks again.
i'm using play fn stereo or play fn with good effect.
