Problems with the library

#1

I just did a fresh install on my new laptop and the library is only partially there - e.g. no community patches at all.
when I try to sync sometimes I get this message:
Modifications detected : factory (1.0.12,anon)
unauthorised changes, resetting : factory (1.0.12,anon)

anyone having the same issue?
cheers

Did you enter your username and password for your github account that you use for the community library?

When it says "anon" it could indicate that you did not enter a username and password into the community library section and Axo editor doesn't know who you are and won't let you acces the com-lib.

hey @jaffasplaffa ,
thank you for your quick reaction,
I never had a github account before as far as I can remember, is it "mandatory" now?
btw, I created an account and tried again, but no improvements, now I get this:
Sync Successful : factory (1.0.12,vitabarba)
Sync Successful : community (1.0.12,vitabarba)
search path : C:\Users\vitabarba\Documents\axoloti\axoloti-factory\objects
search path : C:\Users\vitabarba\Documents\axoloti\objects
search path : C:\Users\vitabarba\Documents\axoloti\axoloti-contrib\objects
finished loading objects

stil very few elements in the library for me :frowning:
I also tried with older releases I got errors similar to those reported here

If you run a sync that works fine for you?
cheers,
vitaliano

I think to use the com-lib it is mandatory to have a github account. But not 100% sure to be honest. I thought it was, but if you accessed it before with out, apparently it's not.

I just did a sync library and it seems to be working fine here.

Not sure where to go from here. Maybe @thetechnobear knows more or someone else that knows more about the Axoloti system.

For now, until you get this sorted out, you can still access the com-lib objects, by downloading them directly from Github and then create your own local library folder from the Axo editor.

You can download the com-lib manually here:

I know, it's not a fix, but at least you can do some patching and have some fun while figuring the real problem out

... well thank you very much, this helps already

when I fisrt start after a fresh installation I actually get a long list of the modules which I will then be missing:

When I open Axoloti I get this:
Status: community (1.0.12,jaffasplaffa) : OK ( 1.0.12,clean )

Where you get this:
Status: factory (1.0.12,vitabarba) : OK ( 1.0.12,dirty )

That might be the culprint, but not sure to be honest.

I am sorry, but I don't know what to do to fix it.

We can try tagging @johannes, the developer, maybe he knows more.

ah in fact I did not like that "dirty"
hopefully some new insight will come in the discussion.
thank you for your help so far,
cheers

I had/have the problem with the community lib not showing up...I just let the axo editor stay on for a while (about maybe 20 sec) before i open/create a new patch...then community lib shows up when i create a new patch.
My status is clean BTW if that matters, and i did not link any github account

Status: factory (1.0.12,anon) : OK ( 1.0.12,clean )
Status : home : OK
Status: community (1.0.12,anon) : OK ( 1.0.12,clean )
