Older OSX versions compatibility

Yeah toally true. It is an older OSX, but again, buying a new laptop for this, seems a bit too much. Actually I have two other broken macbooks, one with core 2 duo processor. I think I might be able to make them into one and then run 10.7.x. 10.7.x can only be installed on "core 2 duo" and not "core duo", which the one I have been trying to install on is and also why the Java screws up.

Peww.. turning into much bigger problem than i expected.

So new project must be:
1. Fix a laptop from the parts I have with core 2 duo processor.
2. Install 10.7.3.
3. Run Axoloti software normally like everyone else? smile

hopefully this plan will work.

Sounds like a plan
Also now you have done the build thing( except Xcode) you could try Java 1.6, perhaps the bugs will be bearable/small. ..
Eg We have not tested but we know for example , it does not default file save dialogs correctly, so these kind of things could be 'ok' , the reason it's not great is we don't know how many other issues there may or may not be, or how 'severe' ... But worth a go

I think I am going for the assembling two broken laptops into one. If I get it working I should be able to install 10.7.4 and not worrying about the build.

To be honest, I would rather spend my days patching than all this troubleshooting. So many ideas needs to be tested smile

Aaaaand it is working smile

I managed to assemble one lappy with core 2 duo and OSX 10.7.5 that works and everything runs fine without installing extra java stuff smile

I am sorry mate. Should have though about this from the beginning and save both you and me some trouble smile

Anyway, thank you of the help. It got me to a working setup, so I am happy smile

I had the same problems with snow leopard and an macbook 2.1
after a long week with trying to switch to gcc5.1 instead of xcode gcc4.2 and no success with ./build.sh i decided to buy an new macbook and now is everything fine too. Nice to see that i do not so much wrong with snow leopard even i it was not able to boot my old macbook in 64bit-mode smile
it was an interesting lession with Terminal macport brew git clan cmake and so on stuck_out_tongue
i didnt spend more time before with terminal sesseion and have learn a lot so that ive to thank you to axoloti
