NovAxo. Novation 25SL MkII united with Axoloti Core

#1

I would like to introduce my first project NovAxo. It was a great joy to unite Axoloti with the midi controller.
I have also installed 6 potentiometers, 8 Leds, 4 pushbuttons and a Sharp distance sensor in the Novation 25SL MkII.
The X-Y-Pad is hard to use and works only with a lot of pressure.

I connect Axoloti and Novation Controller over the Midi connection, since I both operate over 9 V at the same time.
On the patch I am constantly working on. It is a 3-voice poly synth with the following functions:

  • Multi OSC with Shape and FM from Sine Sub OSC. Noise OSC and Super Saw
  • 3 LFO with Multishape, BPM Sync and DAW/Midi Sync
  • 2 Env
  • Step Sequencer, 16 steps with load/save
  • FX Chorus and Reverb
  • Modulation of Cutoff, Shape, FM, Pitch, LFO1 Rate

My problem is the restriction of SRAM. Because I am constantly at the limit. CPU is not a problem. My Patch is a mess. :relieved:

Really nice synth!
How are the encoders working? I've heard that they can get quite unprecise/glitchy.

Clean your patch up, follow execution order strictly then you will propably make plenty of sram free. Gone through all of this as well

Many Thanks!
The encoders work well and precisely.

Yes I need to clean up the patch. It is difficult with the multi-modulation possibilities ...

#4

Nice work the installation integrates really well. I was wondering what approach you used to cut the sections out for the midi / audio ports for the axo as it is quite neat. I'm about to do the same with my Uc-33 so any tips welcome

Thank you! I was able to work on the plastic with a wooden drill and a file. Good luck to you.

#6

Ah great, that's what I was also thinking of doing! I am keen to hear how your synth sounds when it's finished

Now the Video is made:
