Non working L output on new board

Hi. I received my new Core board, and after installing everything on a Win7 system it is working, but I get no sound from the Left output. I thought it could be related to the tricky thing with drivers on Win7, so I installed it on my laptop, quite new, running Win10. I get the same: every patch from the library works ok, but there´s no sound in the L out.
As every patch has cables into both L & R output, it cannot be patch related. The little green vumeter peaks on both channel.

Is it a defective card?
What should I do?

are you aware of the fact that one connector is a stereo input and the other a stereo output? so you will need a stereo to two mono cable to connect to a mixing desk etc. usually an insert cable works just fine

No, I wasn't aware of it... it seemed L &R connectors.

I have plenty of Insert cables back from the old pre-virtual days...

Working like a charm now.
