What would be very useful is to have a Peak Detector module.
This would make it possible to build for example envelope-followers and compressor/limiters.
a peak detector works like this:
The input signal is rectified and smoothed by an adjustable release time. The attack time is zero, release-time about 2ms-2000ms (controlled exponentially).
