Modulation options

#1

Hi All,
Inspired by the Matrixbrute I've decided to stick a tiny mod matrix onto my hardware synth using a Adafruit Trellis and Teensy. I'm familiar with normal subtractive synthesis but I'm stuck to find a 4th modulation option. Here's my mod matrix so far.

| * | LFO | LFO2 | ENV |
| Pitch | | | |
| PWM | | | |
| LFO1 | | | |
| Filter | | | |

So I have 2 lfo's and an env. Is there something else more interesting I can stick in there?

As mod sources:
Velocity
Aftertouch
Any exotic sensor, like sharp ir distance sensor.
Or do you mean something else?

Another env? Random?

Yeah, just thought while out and about a random thing would be awesome. I'm also short of targets as I've missed off the VCA. So something like this;

| * | LFO | LFO2 | ENV | Random
| Pitch | | | |
| PWM | | | |
| Vol | | | |
| Filter | | | |

Hmm, saying that being able to LFO an LFO would be good and I could fake Vol modulation with the filter.

Pitch is a good modulation source.

Steady. I'll looking at a 8x8 grid of trellises (Trelli?) at this rate.

Been playing with rand/uniform. Took a bit of fiddling but I have a nice random mod source now. I need to wind back and do a count of pots I need. I'm sure I'm over and will end up using teensy knobs as well. Tsk. Scope creep!
