Hi there!
Do exist a way to solder MIDI IN wires on some pins of the Axolotl board instead of using MIDI Female connectors?

Check the schematic. It looks like all of the MIDI pins have solderable test points. Also the JP2/JP3 pads have the MIDI lines on the CPU side of the opto-isolator.
