MIDI handling on patch level

Hi all of you !

I'm new to the axolotl community. I've been browsing around for a couple of days since I have the board and it looks great what is happening here. I saw there are two ways of handling MIDI: 1. by objects used in the patch 2. on patch level by assigning a modulation source. I personally think that on a platform which offers at the first place no alternative to midi trigger/control the second way is the faster one. Is it possible to lift certain midi basics like MIDI Thru, MIDI CC update (for controllers like MIDI Fighter Twister Behringer etc) on patch level into the settings menu and is it possible that CMD-I not only opens but also closes the settings pane ?

there is also a 3 way... you can assign a CC to parameters

there is a midi thru object in the community library , type midithru in object search panel

hmm, yeah it should have a keyboard shortcut to close... probably given its a dialog, escape is the most idiomatic.

command-I would correspond to command-e as used for debugging patches
