Making a multi-FX and looper combo

#1

Hello!
I'm pretty new around here, and this is kind of a big question. I'm planning to improve an existing children's museum installation by creating a bank of effects and a looper with the axoloti.

I believe I have the sound processing worked out in the patcher, but I'm unsure how to integrate the hardware controls. Many of the parameters I aim to control do not have inlets. Would it be smart to make the hardware pots and buttons into midi controls? If so, how would I go about doing that?
Thanks!
Ben

OH BOY.
I think I see where to go... replace dials in the "sub-patcher" with inlets/GPIO controls?

try the modsource object

this is how I dow it as well (even with midi CC) It has the advantage of using less sram, so If you've reached the limit this will free you some resources.

Modsource was close, but I ended up using midi/out/cc in paired with analog ins for a few controls.
Thanks for the suggestions, it's coming along nicely!

#6

hi!
I'd like to read an update on this project
did you manage to achieve what you wanted to do?

#7

Hi! Yeah I did get it to work nicely! Once I figured out some workarounds. I actually ended up using midi where I probably didn’t need to, just because it was so fast to patch/program.

Resources weren’t strained at any point. It’s essentially a looper, phaser, and delay. I have a low pass filter in the patch, but I don’t think we’ll use it in the exhibit, we need everything to be pretty immediately exciting for noobs
