Launchpad dual factotum loop mangler/stutter patch

#1

Hi all,

Just finished off my loop mangling factotum patch. It has a 4 bar looper going into 2 factotums, each with a filter and a midi Looper (7 slots, 4 bars each).
There are envelopes for pitch and stretch and envelopes for each factotum's vca. The factotums also work on the live input.

There's also 2x 4 bar automation loopers that record any parameter changes, and 16 preset slots.

Parameters are controlled by a launch control xl and factotums are 'played' with a launchpad.

The two 4x4 grids on the right play the factotums with pads set to different settings (different octaves/speeds/directions). When you play a pad it records and then loops for as long as you hold the pad down. Recording length is set with a knob and can go from tiny unquantized lengths to lengths quantized in 16ths. Factotum loops can be up to a bar long. You can also change it so it holds the last recording and the pads just change pitch/direction.

The two columns on the right are the clipslots for recording the factotum grids.

The two orange columns are the presets.

Here's the patch-

The patch won't work standalone as it's part of a 3 axoloti setup... Bass-station Looper, synced delay, chorus, reverb and a drum machine.

Very Nice Matt, very curious to see the patch, haven't tried envelopes on the the factotum inputs yet, may have to thieve that idea, that and want to see your midi looper implementation

Thanks!

Envelopes and factotum are pretty fun, especially in the pitch and stretch inputs. I've been meaning to try lfos in the stretch inputs, could be great.

I like to utilise the LFO and P-Locks of a midi track from my digitakt for factotum animation, but yeah I have been meaning to do it in house [on the axo] and getting more into recording automation that way,
I guess using a table to record cc's, but my sdram is always overflowing, [i'm using a 4loop and a factotum] does the automation table require alot of sdram in your experience?

Not tons - a table size 4096 for a four bar loop.

Here's a simple cc looper patch I made with my custom objects
