Init repo failed

After installing Axoloti Patcher and plugging in Axoloti Core for the first time, I am not able to get the Factory or Community libraries to sync with git. Preferences -> "Reset All" and Preferences -> Edit factory -> sync both give the errors below (plus a lot of additional java-related output I am skipping for brevity).

Troubleshooting suggestions greatly appreciated!

Hi, check this topic, section "Important note"
that should resolve this.

That was exactly it! I read that section but somehow didn't think it applied to me.
