Hybrid Synth with wavefolder and CEM filter

#1

My new synth/music project is a hybrid digital/analog duophonic synth.
I plan to use an Axoloti and some analog circuits for distortion and filter.

Here is my first experiments with a wavefolder

(re recording, the axoloti generates mixtures of triangles to the wavefolder, no filter yet, i added some ping pong delay)

#2

Very cool! So this circuit here is only the wavefolder or a filter as well?

#3

it's only the wavefolder.

I will experiment multiple options/designs before i choose which one i prefer.

I'd like the analog connections between the filter and disto to be versatile and controlled by the axoloti with some 4051 or 4053 switches.

#4

That sounds great. Did you ever get these to work with axo? I failed multiple times...

Also Cv control over the filters would great no? Then you could have lfos and stuff from axoloti.

#5

4051 worked fine for me with the axoloti for muxing pots. I have made some objects to handle them for pot multiplexing

#6

Ah ok, but thats a bit of a different use case, no? As far as I got you, you want to change the audio routing with the multiplexers?

#7

yes, that's totally different and there is many difficulties such as voltage for the control signals...
i have some ideas but i will have to experiment and check if they work in real life without damaging the axoloti...
(when experimenting such things 10k resistors and 3v3 zeners for protectection are great friends).
