Hi, wondering about a solution for pickup noise I'm getting from direct guitar in. I've read on other posts that a buffer pedal before the axoloti could help, but just wondering if it's a normal noise issue with axoloti inputs or possibly the cable I am trying. Thanks!
Guitar Input Noise
Post your patch and I'll take a look and see if it's anything in there.
For the future I would post this question in the "hardware" category. This is fine, I'm not a mod, nor do I think that anyone's keeping tabs at the moment, but if the good news about a possible axo-revival is true, this forum could get a lot busier in the future
Hi, I tried just running an audio in to math gain to audio out to test, then community objects, any guitar stuff I could find. All had the same input sound. I'm using a squier telecaster and I'm thinking possibly the cable isnt high quality enough, also just running audio out through headphones. I'm thinking it must have something to do hardware wise since it's the same issue across patches. Super appreciate your advice and would love to see an axoloti revival!
If you plug direct into an amp does it make the same buzz? If you're using an effect like distortion, a hum is natural but can be mitigated with a noise gate, something that pulls your volume down if it's under a certain threshold. Try sptnk/effect/noise gate near the end of your effects chain if there's space.
Guitars can and do make buzzes anywhere from the pickup to the speaker. Sometimes it's grounding issues, sometimes the jack is a little messed up.
I borrowed a guitar and just have headphones so I will check with the guitar owner, but that object Is a great idea! Will try!
