Just wanted to post this as a cautionary tale. I am working on connecting my Axo with a Buchla Music Easel. I have a pulse converter board from Synovatron that runs on +-12v. I think I must have accidentally brushed a 12v trace with the jumper I was running from the PB8 digital out on the Axo. Now, no lights come on, the computer doesn't see it, and the memory chip gets super hot when connected to USB.
So... (reminder to self) Always power everything off when making connections! 
Fried my Axo with 12V :(
