Firmware update problem

#1

Hi! I have the axoloti core since 2 days, and I just can't make the update when I drag the application in the runtime folder. It says that I have to compile something... And I am not that good with computers, so I don't understand what I have to do.

Here's the message it gives me:

Firmware CRC mismatch! Please flash the firmware first! Hardware firmware CRC = E95BAC96 <> Software CRC = Please compile the firmware first
search path : /Users/Wilhelm/Documents/axoloti/objects
search path : /Users/Wilhelm/Documents/axoloti/axoloti-contrib/objects
Link to firmware CRC Please compile the firmware first
can't read flasher, please compile firmware! (file: /Applications/Axoloti.app/Contents/Java/firmware/flasher/flasher_build/flasher.bin )
finished loading objects

I looked at other cases and followed them, but nothing seems to work. If I use the application out of the runtime folder, everything works, but I can't use the patch patcher (In which I want to use polyphony)

Can somebody help? Thank you!!!

Wil

this i not the same error as yours, as yours is looking for the firmware in the wrong place entirely

I assume since there was no follow up post this was some how fixed... Id guess the issue was were the Axoloti.app was placed, and perhaps @William figured this out himself.

the install guide for Mac OS very carefully tells users where to put things ... i was pretty explicit in it , because when Axoloti was first released, we had quite a few new users running into the same issue.
