Hi,
I didn't follow the steps given at this forum to add the protection to a 1st batch axoloti and I fried it. After bringing it back to life (with steps given in this forum too) it had noise on the audio output, so I've made a midi controller and note generator with it for Bitwig's e-kick device.
E-kick MIDI controller and note generator
I have an Axoloti too, which I made one of those Axo control devices for.
After a while it started having a noise issue.
As soon as I removed the Axoloti control board, the noise issue disappeared and the Axoloti worked fine on its own.
So, my suggestion is > try removing anything hardwarish that you added to it. That worked for me.
Hey Jaffa, there is no control board, those are just components connected to gpio inputs.
The noise appeared after bringing it back from the dead, that's why I made a midi controller, axolotis have a great potential also as midi boxes, and I thought I could explore that
Yeah. but I think if stuff is not soldered 100% correctly it can cause all kind of mishabs, like noise for example. ANd also if things become loose, for some reason it can cause the noise.
My control bord worked fine to start with, but degraded over time and i had to remove the board again. But I think this can happen even without a board.
Anyway, if you are happy, it doesn't really matter
Yeah true. I got 3 in all, so for now I am just using one of them, which has got the low output issue for sequencing the other 2 for sound. Works great
And it looks/sounds cool by the way
