I have bought two axolotis and managed to plug one of them in and load patches onto it.
But now when I'm trying to go live and disconnect, it is getting stuck on disconnect request.
I even gave the board a firmware reset, tried starting it up with S2 pressed.
here are the steps I take:
Plug axoloti in,
check the connect box,
check the live box in the patch i want to load,
uncheck the connect box
this pops up
Could anyone kindly help with this?

It is a normal behavior, if you disconnect in the axoloti console window (the first window), the patch will run disconnected from the patcher.
I think @druxka means that the connect checkbox gets unchecked automatically.
Could you confirm your other board behaves differently with the same patch?
Any other hardware connected to gpio or usb host that could be relevant?
Sorry if I wasn't clear. The patch doesn't load. The status stays on "Disconnect Request". I tried waiting it out for several minutes. When I disconnect the patch doesnt run on the standalone axoloti.
Ah the patch runs fine while connected, but you want a patch to run standalone?
Just "going live" with a patch only loads it to RAM.
To run a patch standalone, you need to upload it "Upload to sdcard as startup", or "upload to internal flash" (if you do not want to use an sdcard) in the patch menu.
