I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on. I’ve been working on a custom hardware design project for an Artist-in-Residence at Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center in NYC, who wanted to create an interactive installation involving soft speakers and textiles made with conductive thread that would synthesize or manipulate sound based on gestures and proximity. I made a custom AVR microcontroller circuit to use capacitive sensing to generate corresponding analog output voltages which I then feed into an Axoloti Core to where the sensor behavior and sound synthesis/triggering is designed.
