I'm not one to normally respond to my own posts but thought I'd give an example of what I'm talking about..
At the same time I received my Axoloti I also received a Moog Werkstat. I would love to use my usb (or midi) keyboard through the Axo to provide CV keyboard input to the Werkstat. THEN send audio out from Werkstat back to Axolotti for effects processing and final audio output. Is this posssible? Has anyone done it? If so how?
Connecting to a Moog Werkstat
Recommendation for new Community Category
Don't think a new category is necessary, connecting the Axoloti to the Moog Werkstatt is an ideal topic for the hardware category.
Sending signals from the Axoloti to the Werkstatt should be possible, as Moog has made some videos on how to connect an Arduino to control it. The only problem you might run into is voltage conversion, as the Axoloti GPIO uses 3.3V and the Arduino uses 5V.
On the software side, you can probably use the gpio/out/analog object to send control signals generated by Axoloti to the Werkstatt.
Sadly since I've packed up most of my gear in preparation to move to a new home in the next couple of weeks I won't be able to work on my Axo-Werkstatt project for a while yet. I'll post my progress once I'm able to get moved in and unpacked. In the mean time since I did leave my LPK25 and an Axoloti out where I can get to them I'll just keep practicing my patching skills.
