Completely blocked!

I don't know what to do with the " Ping: WaitSync Timeout , disconnecting now."
I have tried to hold S2 button while connecting to USB, ten times, hundred times, I don't know.
With no result. I am completely blocked. Impossible to work.
Do you have the same problem and how did you solve it ?
Thanks to the community to help someone at the edge of nervous disease.

I need a bit more information than that...
was it working before? when did it stop? what changed?
is this when a patch runs, or whenever you try to connect?

If its doing it will all patches, then I would attempt to reflashthe firmware.

are you able to reflash the firmware using - Board->Firmware->Flash
if not, follow the instructions in the install guides about doing a Flash(Rescue) , essentially hold S1 whilst powering up, then select Flash(Rescue) from menu.

A VERY, VERY, VERY GREAT THANK YOU, THETECHNOBEAR .
Your help was very fruitful.
I have done the Flash Rescue, and it did it.
It happened when I tried to connect, never when a patch was running.
But I don't understand in what circumstances it happened…
Don't mind as I know now how to relaunch the beast.

Best regards,

Phil

A new problem when launching Axoloti !!!
"No available USB device found with matching PID/VID"
Can you help me ?

Best regards,

ok, so I assume from your previous reply it was working....
(unlikely you celebrated if you just got a different error )

what has changed since then?

the error, means for some reason Axoloti is not being seen, this is either:
a) fault usb cable
b) axoloti not booting properly

when you connect axoloti can you see any device listed in your usb devices?
if you boot by pressing S1 , is it listed as a DFU device?

if you can't see it at all its most likely a bad usb cable.

if you can see it as a DFU device, then you can redo the flash.. but it doesn't explain why you keep needing to do this.
if you keep seeing this, then the first course of action is to remove everything from the board, e.g. usb/gpio and see if it continues to do it... if it doesn't then you know its not something 'external' causing the issue.

you really need to give more information about your setup... windows/mac/linux, something upgraded recently?

unfortunately, you've not given any background information, so the likely cause (and indeed cause for your previous problem) is a bit of a mystery, these things rarely stop working without things changing... and knowing what changed helps us figure out what is really going on.

Hi,
I have done a new Flash Rescue, completed.
but here is the message I receive when I try to launch Axoloti.
I am working on Mac Sierra 10.12.2.

I will try again tomorrow.

Best regards,

Phil

Really I don't understand what happens.
Today it is in function. Why ?… Mystery.
USB cable seems good.
To the next episode .

Id try a different cable... perhaps its got an intermittent fault?
perhaps try wiggling around the cable, at both ends, see if you can make it fail?

as i said though, really you need to look at the usb device tree, to see if axoloti is appear at all.
if it is, then if your on windows it could be a driver issue...
if its sometimes in DFU mode, then thats something else
if its not appearing at all, its a hardware issue - cable, hubs, connectors,

also you should watch the LEDS on the axoloti , what lights flash as it boots?

if you have an intermittent fault, it is likely to return unless you change something.
but to track it down remotely, we need more information than you are offering.

Excuse my ignorance but I don't know how or where to look at the USB device tree.

About this Mac -> System Report
Hardware->USB

top parts shows you the usb device tree.
if you click on one of the entries, it will show you details about that device.

if its listed as STM32 BOOTLOADER then its in DFU mode,
if its listed as Axoloti Core, then Axoloti has booted correctly

if neither are shown, you have a hardware issue - usb cable, hub, or connectors
