did this happen right after updating the firmware?
because i think i saw this when updating to 1.03.
when i restarted my computer the problem was not there anymore
/ps i'm 'just' another user, so i can't help more smile

#3

@Sjoelie : what OS are you using?

@MartijnVerhallen : rebooting is not needed and will not solve anything.

#4

I'm just starting out, so i Downloaded the latest installation files.

I've also updated the java, just in case. I also removed other usb gear as stated to find out if something was interferring

OS Windows 7 64bit

I Have to admit that I had trouble with one driver update in Zadig.
It was enventually aborted

#5

I expect no need to use Zadig, just plug and play, the driver is provided through Windows Update. Unless I overlooked something...
On windows 8 and later, Windows Update is not needed, as it is provided in the windows installation already.

#6

This one keeps popping up once in a while also. Could it be that i misread something and updated something wrongly?

#7

I still didn't get it to work. Will take a look at it when I'm moved over to my new place

#8

Does anybody know how to solve this issue? What does that code mean?

#9

I am getting the same error. Axoloti will see the board but kick up this error. I've followed all of the instructions as well as reinstalling the right USB driver and flashing the firmware and using three USB cables.

#10

which version of windows are you using?

when you say, "reinstalling the right USB driver"... from the Axoloti release area?

I guess you have tried other usb ports, without usb hub, and with all other usb devices disconnected? (need to start eliminating possible problem areas)

#11

Uninstall the driver for "Axoloti Core (Interface 0)". This interface is a MIDI device, you seem to have installed the WinUSB or LibUSB driver for this interface. After uninstalling and plug and play again this interface should automatically install as a "Sound, video and game controller".

#12

I have tried several USB ports and a powered hub also.
Under Windows 7 64bit. when i attempt to install the winusbcompat driver, it says that windows is using an up to date driver.

If i choose the winusbcompat.inf from the 'Install from Disk' menu then it say 'the folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device.'

As far as i can tell is does appear to be the correct driver installed anyway.

#13

Resolved by
* Uninstalling the "Axoloti Core (Interface 0)" driver, must check the option to delete the driver from disk
* unplugging/replugging
* Axoloti Core now automatically gets recognized as a "Sound, Video and Game controller"
* closing/opening the Axoloti software again

Thanks Johannes.
Up and sunning now. Thanks for the help.

I tried that too, but the "Axoloti Core (Interface 0)" driver does not appear in devices (Zadig sees the port).
winusbcompat only supports XP and downwards (I'm on Win 7 64-bit). Still getting the
org.usb4java.LibUsbException: USB error 12: Unable to claim interface: Operation not supported or unimplemented on this platform. Any ideas?

(and I have to use a power supply, otherwise windows detects a power surge on the USB device)
Went back to a restore point, reinstalled everything with Zadig. Now I see Axoloti core in sound devices, but still getting:
