Axoloti Board Dead

#1

I'm having problems in my setup with noise coming from midi controllers with leds (Launchcontrol XL, Nanokontrol) so I was trying to find out what makes the nosie better or worse, plugging in and out different elements of the setup.

When I was unplugging the dc plug of my axoloti boards it didnt turn on again afterwards. It still gives 5v to the usb controller but doesnt turn on again, no blinking.

I've been using the power supply for a while now, it's 12v 2a, positive center powering two axoloti boards and a small mixer via a daisy chain. I've been using it this way for quite a while and never had any problem.

It's quite frustatring because I was finally arriving at a point where I could actually make music with this setup :frowning:

Did you ever get any response?

I hope you have an extra Axo to replace.. If you know someone that has an oscilloscope you could check out how clean that power supply is. If there are several things connected to the same power supply, plugging/ unplugging things might produce a spike or a drop in voltage.

Johannes contacted me in the end and we figured out that most propably I touched the gpios with the power supply cable while unplugging it which would obviously fry the board.

Yeah, that couldn't have been what I did... mine has been safely nestled in an enclosure for 8 months!

I fried three out of four(axoV1) of which 2 boxed.
it seems that he does not like to be connected and disconnected abruptly from usb
