Axo version of Cocoquantus?

#1

Hey guys,

I've been chewing on the idea of an Ax version of the Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus. In essence, it is a dual-delay with multiple points of modulation. In practice, you can record and then instantly play 2 separate loops, and them mangle the bejesus out of them. I'm trying to work out how this would work within the Ax though, which is difficult.

Essentially, what I would like to do is:
Hit a toggle to start recording, then when I release the button it plays back (like @SirSickSik 's Flooper, for example)
Then, as the loop is playing, be able to route some LFOs/ADSRs to various parameters, such as: loop speed, position, direction, pitch, etc. Is there an object that would do this that I'm missing? Or can the Flooper be modified so that various parameters can be controlled by Blue outlets/inlets?

I know @mtyas has done something similar to this with his delay setup shown in this video. Perhaps he has some community contributions?

@Ott oh yeah I forgot about that first unit! @mtyas would you mind sharing what you used for that sampler/grainer? Was it a factory/user object, or something custom?

I'm still not quite sure how tables work yet, maybe that is holding me back a bit

have you tried my "factotum" module? this is basically what you ask for ánd have all the control to "mangle the bejesus out of it". For 2 channels, just use two modules..

Yep, I actually was playing it for a few hours last night! Great fun looping vocals and stuff, and achieves pretty much what I wanted. The only thing is that the Overwrite function seemed a little temperamental: sometimes it would function as an overdub (which is what I want!) and sometimes it would erase the main loop playing in the buffer. Any ideas why that's the case, or if it can be changed to a permanent overdub control?

Hi
I don't think any of my patches can do what you desire, but I'm sure it's not too hard to make.
Maybe using the loop objects by @rbrt and then creating an internal clock that you can use to play, write and read tables for different desired modulations

Or you can use an alternative of my multi delay setup and add a load of effetcs and modulations into the patch.
Here is my last video of how to start patching some fun with multi delays
