Adding more audio inputs. is it possible?

#1

hello! I'd like to know if it's possible to add more audio inputs. I want to build a 4 channel mono mixer with effects for each channel, and an 8 bank looper attached to it.

can the axoloti handle it by itself or do I need to work with an audio/digital converter, or maybe with and entirely different computer hardware?

thanks!!

I was just thinking that maybe it is less complicated to handle the mixing and the filter analogically, and then sending just one signal into the axoloti for master effects and looping.

Extra audio inputs won't work. Better to use one of those cheap behringer mx400 mixers. They are small enough to build into another case.

Maybe using 2 axolotis? It will be 4 inputs and if you want the loopers to be synced between boards you can use midi, and you can simply sum the two outputs via resistors if you want mono out... for me the answer is almost always more axolotis!

Or wait for the SPIlink, which should give you 4 channels of audio between 2 boards.

Everytime someone mentions the advent of SPIlink I sigh: O @johannes, where art tou?
