About tables: help a noob

hi! just got my axoloti, my main goal is to patch a granular looper for live looping and mangling. but first I'd like to learn the basics, and afaik tables are an essential part in what I have in mind. can anyone explain me how tables work? what they exactly do and how should i patch a live input looper/sampler? or link me some good resources? I've opened some examples given w/ the patcher but I can't understand much

These threads should get you started. Tables are basically a place in the memory of the Axoloti where you can record/load audio into, and play it back again.

Example patch: a simple stereo Looper with overdub

Here is a patch for a stereo looper with overdub capability. You can also use it like a tap-tempo delay if you leave the overdub switched on & manipulate the mixer knobs to control feedback level. Obviously there is a lot more that can be added here - I have already been experimenting with "Play" and "Half-speed" buttons - but it's a good start. Can tables be used in subpatches in polyphonic mode?

Hi - I'm away from the axoloti core right now so figured I would ask on the forum if anyone has had any experience with using table based subpatches in polyphonic mode? Will try it out later tonight to figure out why mine was crashing (looked like table properties weren't being instanced).

Reading from a table in a subpatch

Tables in a subpatch are local to that subpatch and cannot be read from the main patch, right? So is there no way to fill a table with values inside a subpatch and then read those values from the main patch? Or is there another way to achieve something similar?

Help with basic concept of granular playback

After putting together a basic synth, i'd like to have a look at wavetables and explore some simple granular playback. I searching and followed a few examples posted and managed to get pretty rough sample/table playback from an SD card.
