5 Pin Midi Input unresponsive to Notes/CC

I've posted this already a while ago here with no response:











When I try to send data into the 5pin the board will only respond to clock messages but not to cc or notes.
This is the test configuration:

Here I send the midi via usb and it works.

Any Ideas? since most of my boards are kind of screwed I would need to make this one work to keep patching.

Could you connect the Midi DIN output to the Midi DIN input on Axoloti, and run the patch in axoloti-factory/objects/midi/out/midi_out.axh and check if the displays move?

tested with midi cables that had been working in another situation, no reaction here:

I can't understand how clock messages manage to get through, but no cc's or notes. Is it possible that clock was arriving through usb-midi?

Ah yes you were right, the clock came in via usb. So that means no Midi input at all.
