Synthesizer buttons

#1

Hi,
I'm new to all of the Axoloti stuff but i am trying to make a synthesizer but I get stuck. I want a chord
with buttons. So a central c to c. Under every button has to come a tone. I already know that I can change a sound by means of a potentiometer, but I cannot get further than that. Can someone help me with this?

PS. Sorry if my English is not the best, i live in The Netherlands.

This is what i already have, the lower part is for a button. But i cant get a sound out of it.

Hi Femke,

Jan's book may be a good start to understanding the principles of Axo:

grts!

Don't have an axoloti near me, so I haven't tested this patch. Think this might work:

  • gpio/in/digital handes the button press.
  • ctrl/dial b is used to set the note value.
  • midi/intern/note combines the button press and note value into a MIDI message and sends it to the midi/in/keyb object.

If you want to play multiple notes at the same time, you should create a polyphonic subpatch from the part of your patch that generates the sound.

Thanks, i am going to do that for sure. But this is a project for my school so i don't think it would be there in time for me to use it.

Thank you, i am going to try this!
