Subtractive Synthesis - Wind 'n Waves

#1

Have you ever been sitting in a hot office during summer wishing to be at the beach? :thinking:

If the answer is "yes", this might be the solution: Wind 'n Waves! :sunglasses:

This patch brings the feeling of an autumn day at the beach to you: waves running up the shore, breaking at the beach and gusts of wind.

One could do this using sampling, but this patch is done the old way by simply filtering some noise and adding variations to the sound via LFO's. Nothing fancy, but maybe interesting for beginners.

Thanks! I like it, it has a very calming effect. Could listen to it all day.

As I right this, 8.18 am Thursday morning 12 April, in Sydney currently 20 deg C, expected to hit 33 deg C by midday, is this the sort of weather you are referring too, it could seem nice, but too much of a good thing is not good for you... ! :weary::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Can confirm, well after midday, too hot .. ! :sweat:
I haven't listened to your sound yet, will they make me feel cooler ?? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Gavin:
I'm confident, that the patch will help you feeling cooler! :stuck_out_tongue:

It is closely modeled after yesterdays weather conditions during my windsurfing session: air temperature around 14°C, water temperature 5-7°C, wind 5-7 Bft. ...quite chilling conditions, that encouraged me to change clothes rather quickly at the beach! :yum:

I've chosen to describe it as an autumn day because it's not intended to feel THAT cold. :grin:
