Project to create a Ciat-Lonbarde cocolase/monolase

#1

Hello
I need the help of the community to create a patch that does the same thing as this:
http://archive.monome.org/community/discussion/13731/new-app-monolase-8-bit-modulated-delaysampler/p1

which is a emulation of the ciat lonbarde cocolase (delays with modulation)

any idea where I can start ?

Hey @BenFalsetown

From scanning it quickly I don't see any problems in building something at least very similar, if not the exact same. Maybe you would need more than one Axoloti if you want to make it really complex.

I would start with the Sidrassi brain, the 5 oscillators(or lfo's).

And then next build the pitched delay lines.

it's a good news !

I have zero knowledge in Max/Msp or the axoloti so it will take me a lot of time

@BenFalsetown

I think it seems like a great project. I can definately help on the patching side and I dont mind doing that. Looks like something I'd like to play with myself.

But I have a hard time figuring out how the Sidrassi is actually build. How the oscillators/lfos are setup. I see how many oscs/lfoes there are, but exactly how it is set up, I havent figured out yet.... Guess we need to do some more research.

If you want to build the hardware stuff, you need to get help from someone more qualified in here. I dont know much about that. But there are many helpful souls in here, so I am sure someone can point you in the right direction.

Did you manage to put anything together? Id love to play with a cocoloti!

Maybe I will have a try at building.

i'm still interested!

quentussy.axp (9.9 KB)
i tried to do this

Thanks for this, are you using it as a subpatch with robert's looper blocks or sptnk's 8bit looper, I imagine that it'd be fun with SSS's factotum

For now my set up is this. and the shnth to provide some strange effects to my clarinet ,and im useing the korg nano kontro mrk 1 for controlling .midi resp recorder.axp chaos.axp (20.5 KB)

It looks gorgeous and thank you so much for building this

I'm a total noob, can you explain it to me (like I'm 5 years old  ) how can I play with it ?

I launch the file and then what ? how can I produce sound with this beauty ?

thanks !
