Can i name the parent controls?
it seems that they copy the name of the original parameter, and i cannot change that.
example:
I want to change the name the pitch dial of the filter/bp m object to: 'cutoff'

they retain the name of the original... (they are the same parameter, its just they are visible on the parent)
why not just rename within the subpatch?
i can only rename the whole object, not the names of the controlls (in the subpatch)
ah, true... yeah I was thinking of dials.... I usually have use the filters with inlets, then I can place a dial on them and rename the dial.
the interesting thing about this filter:pitch, is that it couldn't be just name filter:cutoff as the 'cutoff frequency' could be specified in either pitch (non linear) or frequency (linear), and you need to know which you are dealing with.
anyway food for thought....
Ive also quite a few ideas around this area (UI customisation/parameters) that are needed for a project I'm working on.
but still in early discussion stages.
bare in mind, many things to improve... and limited time
yeah, no worries
i'm just very enthousiastic and want to learn everything!!
for now i'm adding dials, and setting the 'to be controlled' parameters to zero.
