Is there a way to get midi in data (cc in my case) from a selected device only?
Some of the midi/out objects let you choose between din/usb host port/internal port... I am basically looking for the same for a midi/in object.
I probably just need to know if that's possible, and what the midi code for that would look like. But specifically, I would like to get cc data that come from a non-internal port only.

Yeah if you make a patch/patcher object, a subpatch and set the midi channel for that subpatch in view>settings menu, then you can set a specific channel for receiving midi in:

I didn't mean channel, though, but device. That is, I want stuff that comes in over the USB port, but not stuff that comes from an internal midi/out object.
Oh and if you also need to set port and midi device, you need to tick of the "has midi selector" and refresh the patcher object and then you can set those too:
