Favourite low CPU dist/sat/clip object?

Hey guys,
before i go on a shootout comparison spree, what is everybodys favourite light-on-the-CPU overdrive/clipping object that sounds somewhat musical but also can go to extremes? i am currently looking for something to add on each osc of a 3osc poly VA synth, but open for general discussion.

yes i am aware this is one of the situations where i ask for 4 things out of the 3 you're supposed to get 2 of.

You can find some distorsions in tiar/dist.
Most of these use integro differential aliasing limitation.

One nice trick consists in using two distorsions with a high pass or allpass filter in between.

You should also add an allpass filter before a single distorsion if you use square waves as an input.
